I have actually seen that GPS program for your Laptop, its about $80. Hear is the trucker in me now. This system might be fine if you have mount for your computer but if it is just floating around on the seat forget about it and buy a Tom Tom that goes up in your wind screen. Eyes on the road not on the front seat not to mention it sliding off onto the floor

I had the CoPilot Truck that had the GPS antenna and run it on a Sony laptop, was a really good package along with the a2z Mobile Office Solutions, Inc. - Epitome® Napoleon - Multi-Articulating Vehicle Mobile laptop Desk Computer Mount laptop mount. I am using the laptop now at my recliner and I hate the flat keyboard on the notebooks so I got the Microsoft Wireless Natural keyboard and mouse and that works good while I'm traveling in my recliner.
I'm trying to decide if I want to sell the laptop mount or maybe I could just use it on the Kubota, that would be cool.:D

Everyone here always seems to have good advice. I want to get a good notebook computer. I haven't really researched computers for a few years. Who do you recommend? I currently have IBM and Dell desk tops. One is XP and the other Windows 2000.quote]

Of the two you are familiar with, I'd go with the Dell, my son has one of the wide screen Dells and it is nice but is quite a handful while navigating with it in the cab, takes up too much space and is HEAVY for that use. When I upgrade, it will probably be with a Dell, but I'll stick with a smaller screen.
After I got my laptop mount in my truck, A2Z wanted a picture and I found it on their website.

That a pretty busy cab. I have to have my dash clear. My CB is always in the overhead. I would have the Tom Tom on the dash but thats it. I am very **** about my cab. That lap top I don't think I could deal with in my cab like that. But I have never had one set up while I was driving

I just bought an ACER 5570 at staples. I was looking all over for a realitively cheap notebook. I need if for simple accounting and for a VAGCOM diagnostics for Audi,VW cars. Anyway it was a steal. 1.6 dual core processor (INTEL- I am an AMD guy but could not resist), 1 gig of ram, 100 GB hd, DVD super drive, VISTA premium for $600 bucks, not sending in rebates or nothing. The machine runs fine. I have been buzzzing around the internent for a few hours. The display is great (14.1 widescreen). If anyone is looking for a cheap laptop, this is it. I got the last one in New Hampshire, I think. I had to call to 4 different stores.

Check it out.
