That is a nice looking rig. I want the 2 door version of it someday when I get some extra money.

Hmm... If you're interested check this site out. It is a great forum for Ford trucks. Who knows. Maybe you'll catch the mod bug? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My favorite option on it is the factory installed electric trailor break control system(TowCommand) that's mounted in the dash. No more shin skinners from my previous break control box externally mounted.

Given that the wife has a 5 minute drive to work everyday she use's the 95 F150. I drive the Escort to work everyday 50 minutes away. On occasion one of us will probably unknowingly jump in the diesel and run it to work but, for now she's mainly for weekend trips, hauling my tractor and maybe in the future a Ranger 185 or a fifth wheel camper.

So far in running around in town and a couple trips to work she's averaging 15 miles to the gallon and I've even been purposely changing speeds quite freaquently until I reach the first 1000 miles to break in the engine. The first 38 gallons I've been currently using in the tank was filled up free by the dealer so I figured I'd burn the first tank through breaking it in. Just this last week I've put 360 miles on the truck and with what fuel is left out of the 38 gallon tank it's looking like I'll get another 275-280 miles in before hitting E. Figure up the mileage but I think that's something like 16-17 mpg. Not to bad for not keeping a steady speed.... stopping and going. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Heck my F-150 308 V8 barely gets that good of fuel mileage.

Built Ford Tough...."That's right..... Getter Done".

Old Dad's been slashing me ever since,... with his Cummins threats which I have nothing against they put out a lot of power. He brought me up on Fords and one day decided he wanted a deisel and went with a dodge cummins. I like the Ford body style and went International. He's been threating me with a bumper-to-bumper pull off but, I just can't see the benefit of ripping his off. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Gerard, I hope the sour feeling does go away in a few months. Will see though depending on how much OT I can pick up for the next 6 years. "Mud on The Tires"? Yes that will happen but didn't Mr. Brad Paisley buy a Chevy in that song?

Jim, to tell you the truth I like the looks of a single cab and extended cab better than the crew but after riding in Pops extended cab on many a fishin trips I thought I better go Crew or no one will want to ride back there. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Mark, I'll be hatin it for awhile but, as long as the wife keeps her job and I keep mine we should be OK. She's actual the one who gave the OK to get it but, ain't that the case most of the time. Oh, and she had to have one with the running lights on top. I didn't want to have to replace them later on every time one burnt out so she agreed to crawl up there and do it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mith, thanks, and thanks for the sign. That's hillarious it will definetly get printed out and put up somewhere.

Ernie I appreciate your comment. I like the Dodges as well... as I like my fathers Cummins. I hope my Power Stroke will perform like his Cummins has. They are good diesel engines and I figure as long as Internationals have been around they should not disappoint me. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Put a little fuel in her today. Most places around here are selling diesel $2.23 - $2.29 a gallon. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Luckily we just had a new Super Walmart open up with a fuel station there and diesel was $2.13 a gallon.

I love Super Walmart. Does anyone have any opinions or info on their diesel and gas quality? Murphy USA is the name on the pumps there.

Nice truck! I used to really think that Dodge had the best looking grill, but they went gawdy while Ford adopted a real classy look. I still love my 288,000 mile Dodge Cummins though.

BTW: When "old Dad" asks to borrow your truck, what are you gonna say? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
