Hey Garry,

Congratulations on that new baby granddaughter. You have to be one proud grandpa. Will you get to a chance to drive out there and see her or will you have to wait until mom and dad bring her to you. Either way, send me your address via PM and I will send you one of them Tonna Bears like I gave to Spencer for his daughter. You can pass it on to her.

Murph,

Hey, thanks a lot for the oofer. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'll PM you with my address.

If our schedule holds up, we'll be leaving on March 6th to driove out to Fallon, Nevada to visit the kids and the new grandaughter. We should be able to spend about a week with them before we have to head back. Originally they were supposed to dive out here with the baby, and then we all were going to go together to Nevada. But Tom had to be out there by March 1st to lock in their housing, so Mom and the baby will be flying out there on the 6th.

Thanks for the offer! The kids will get a real kick out of it. And maybe they'll back off all of their smart alec little comments about my "Tractor Buddies"! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jim, I wish I could. I'm not sure we're even going to get 1 soon. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Tom said he was going to try to send us one with an e-mail, but he didn't seem too sure if it would work.

We'll just have to wait and see. I can tell you one thing for sure. When I do get one, you guys are going to see it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Gary

You are permitted to brag. CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family with your new blessing....Soon it will be diaper changing time for Grandfather Gary. Don't forget the baby wipes. Spoil her with love and be her best special friend PaPaw. My three still have fond memories of their first trip with Grandpa. Each has the first "travel with Grandpa picture" in their private picture book.

Congratulations! Be sure to help teach her about the good things in life...so many kids (and adults) have no clue anymore about natural resources and our relationships to the world around us. I'm sure you will be a good influence. I wish her a wonderful life!

Congradulations for sure. That little gal will have you wrapped around her little finger in no time im thinking! I have a 2 and 5 yr. grandsons that stay with couple times a week. Hey, thanks Dan! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I guess I don't feel like a grandpa, although having never been one, I guess I don't really know how a grandpa is supposed to feel. I can tell you that I've felt REALLY good since Friday! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

( Are ya gonna teach GrandDaughter to play golf? )

I think my son will take care of that. I've got a feeling that it'll be grandpa's job to make sure that grandpa's little girl beats grandpa each time they play! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I guess that's a good way to do it; maybe better than the way I do things, but I never let my daughters or grandson win at games. I may not make the most serious effort, but they do have to earn their wins. And you've probably never seen a kid more excited than my youngest daughter the first time she beat the old man at chess when she was a teenager. And last year, her now 14 year old son managed the same feat. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Garry,
Congrats..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My oldest married a lady he met on the internet. She has 4 kids /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif instant Grandpa /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif That was hard getting used to, but somehow I managed (and loved it). They called me different things, but the youngest decided I was "Pop Pop". Too bad that doesn't seem to be working out for them. But I'll always be their Grandpa, you ain't taking those kids away from me /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Now, my youngest son and his bride are expecting in April. I can't wait. My bride (his Step-Mom) has filled this house with baby things......bassinet, bouncy seat, porta-crib....etc. I think she is more excited than anyone. We never had kids together and this is the closest she'll be to having her own. And it seems great, we get to spoil it and send it home. Grandparents have that privilege /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Of course when the baby is born, I'll have to take some pics, maybe even some on the tractor with me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Most of all Garry, enjoy all the time you can spend with her. They are precious.

Jerry

Congratulations Grandpa /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Don't have too much fun spoiling her. I can't wait to be a Grandpa, but hopefully not too soon.... mine are 18, and twins 15 so hopefully I have a while to wait .

Well, I finally have some pictures that I can post. I had a heck of a time getting the pictures converted to a .jpeg file from the e-mail that they were sent in.

This first one is of our little girl.

I better not tell my daughter-in-law that I posted her picture just about an hour after the big event. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif She probably wouldn't appreciate it! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Although, in all fairness to myself, I did warn her that I would show everyone any pictures that I received.

My son said that it is absolutely amazing how she "morphed" into a mother. I explained to him that that's how these things work. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Way to go Jerry! A child can never be loved too much.

My first thought was get the poor girl the hell out of allentown. I hate PA! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Of course this is probably just the effects of winter on me. So.... I just hate PA in winter... soo I just hate PA 9 months out of the year!

There I feel better. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Congrats and have a nice time out west! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
