I was pushing a pile of brush and limbs together with the fel and trying to mash it down when I drove too far into the pile. I guess a stick reached out and touch the corner lens/reflector. It pushed the whole light assembly over too. I was able to straighten that out. I picked up a new lens yesterday from my dealer ($36 w/tax) so I have a little repair work to do this weekend.

I welded on some 3/8 steel rods to prevent that from reoccuring. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

In fact, the reinforced brush guard works so well on the L-3130, that I also did same on our L-39, especially since it has the Hydraulic Oil Cooler in front of the radiator without the battery...... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Nice brushguard, and I noticed your axe on the hood, I have the smaller version and they are as handy as a shirt pocket, drilled holes in the snap on cover and wire tied it to the ROPS. Now if a limb slaps me in the face, it's history.

Yes, I know what you mean.

Another super handy item to have attached somewhere is one of the 6-inch foldable rip saws hanging off a carbiner.

I was looking at those at Lowes one day. Do they seem to be a good quality axe?

They are excellent. Light Polyaramide handle impervious to everything and high grade Swedish steel.

Just make sure it don't get too close to the fire! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I like Estwing myself.

LOL, under most normal conditions, the wood chopping occurs prior to placing the wood in the fire.

Generally it's just way too hot to stand in or on the fire trying to swing an axe..... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Fiskars makes real good products.

That's easy to do Jarrett, those brush piles can get expensive.
