I understand your frustration, but you've got a good attitude about the whole situation. It certainly could have been worse, and you'll be back to work before too long.

Mule,You would be a nice neighbor to have, but I would not ask someone to take the chance of getting thorns in their tires. I am about 2 hours away from you. Redwater, Texas. A feller I have known for years is sending two of his hands out, this mornin, to pull me out. They will have a Bobcat.
As fer as my neighbors...no tractors. The two who might, are out of town at this time. In the 47 years that I have lived here my neighbors have changed in every way. The old farm land has been turned into lots and become housing developments. City folks live all around me. My kids will probly do that with my lil-ole 20 acre spot some day soon. I thank it is called "Progress?".
Agree with exploring this approach...neighbor got his old Massey-Ferguson stuck at the bottom of a hill, where the soft mud and slick grass live. He slowly worked it out using the bucket to raise the front out of the ruts and curl forward. Now something helpful. Chain to the bucket curled down then curl to inch forward. Come along can be use as well, the hydraulics are way stronger than me. In you case you will want someone to do the rigging until it is out. I'm lucky my kid lives here....
A chain shortener, double grab hooks on short chain comes in real handy about then as well.
