Well, one of my steering cylinders failed. Boy did it leave me high and dry but that is another story.
Got the machine home, and it appears that when I rebuilt my cylinders I missed a step and did not properly lock down the nut that holds the piston on. Now both are at the back end of the cylinder. I have tried to engage the nut with a longer shaft, but I guess it just spins. I am finding there is no room to get anything into the piston hole as the nut on the other side blocks access. I have tried to "bang" it out, banging the cylinder on some wood. But my pistons are pretty tignt.
Any final ideas before I take this down to the local Hydro shop?
Also, what to I do to keep the nut from coming off? Put some loctite blue on?
