Of course we have - you ever heard of Doom? /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

I have a refurbished Poulan which I've used once, and tried to use 4 or 5 times. I know where the name comes from now - you grab the little handle and start Poulan, and Poulan and Poulan and it still won't start.

Years and years ago I had a chainsaw that worked just like that only it was red and had Homelite XL2 on the side.
It was a really nice well balanced little saw good for limbing but after very little use it wore out and didn't have enough commpression to start.

I found a screwdriver in one tree, chrome plated and hardened it did a number on my bandsaw, I found an electrical box in another. One of my firewood cutting friends found a hammer in one log.

It's a pretty bad feeling when you see sparks flying from your chainsaw blade. Our soil is sandy and it seems to either splash up on tree stumps or it actually gets caught when the tree is growing. Those blades get dull real fast.

Nothing more aggrevating then fixing or sharpening your tools longer than the job you are using them for actually takes./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

At our old house a tree grew around the frame of an old Volkswagon Bug. Had to cut the frame using a sawzall, leaving a piece in the tree.

Next time you buy, go Stihl or Huskvarna. Echo is probably alright too. My Stihl 026 starts everytime on the second pull, even after sitting for months. (choke on first pull) It's probably 8-10yrs old by now and still got as much zip as when I got it.

I learned (after getting the chain stuck in the stump) that birds like wild cherrys. Down side is they like to perch on a fence post to eat, (dropping the seed in the ground along side fence post) and low and behold a wild cherry tree grown and surrounds (in this case a metal) fence post. Tree in question fell across driveway. About 16" in diameter. My Mac 20 should have been able to handle it. I limbed it out and got the stump down to 3'. Last cut was 6" off the ground and I got about 1/3 the way through and saw the sparks several milliseconds before the chain dug into the post. It was hopelessly stuck and wouldn't pull out. I had to remove the chutch cover and take the chain off the saw. Chain is still embedded in stump. Going to go back at it with a wedge this fall.

I know places around here will limit what you can tow by the weight of the trailer and planned load, when they compare it to your GCWR.

I have seen folks trailer that should not be allowed to drive, much less drive with another large heavy thing attached to thier vehicle.
