Hello all,
Has anyone found a good seat cover that fits the NX cab model seats? My new NX4510, KL6010, KB2485 w/thumb should be delivered this coming week!!! I also bought a WoodMaxx SB72 3pt snowblower with hydraulic chute and rotate. I am excited to get some seat time!

Congrats on the new tractor and attachments. Of course you know that since you bought eveything new including the blower that you have scared any further snow away so you won't get to use the blower till next year.

"No more snow after I buy the tractor w/new blower" that's what they told me also. That hasn't worked out too good for us so far, we are on course to break the record for most snow in a season (Caribou, ME weather station).

Well if it snows or not I had to leave for work so I never even got to sit in the tractor as it hasn't been delivered yet. So yes next year the blower will get some use LOL! As for breaking the record for snow from what I see that may happen tomorrow bbstacker. Have fun with your new machine and be careful!

Congrats on your new tractor, and snow blower:dance1:!

A word of caution regarding recent block heaters installed by dealers. Recently we've had reports here on TBN about block heaters that have blown out of the freeze plug hole where they are installed for no particular reason, other than possible faulty installation, or more likely fitment issues. Either way, the end result is the need to prevent more of these from becoming a problem. IMHO, it doesn't matter which is the cause as much as it is very important to prevent this from happening to any new Kioti tractor owner's engine. All the most recent details are in a thread about a 7 hour RX model having the problem, and the very close call to engine failure. I'm NOT trying to panic anyone, you included, but this is an easily preventable situation- DO NOT have a block heater installed prior to delivery of your machine, even if it is your dealer's SOP. Ask them if they have installed one, and if so my best practice strong suggestion is to have them remove it and install a new freeze plug in the hole. Dealers and possibly Kioti may not yet have the info the threads I mentioned from TBN have. DO NOT risk a damaged engine due to possible lack of awareness on your dealer's behalf. PM me if you have ANY questions. I plan to shortly connect with Kioti Corp. to confirm their awareness level, and to discuss with their tech dept what the likely solution is expected to be.
Better to know about this issue before something adverse could have you learn the hard way. BTW, I'm not laying blame at anyone's feet; we on TBN heard the most recent thread's owner heard from the mechanic who went to his house to reinstall his block heater was aware of other instances, though we don't know if they were from the same dealer's inventory or just random installs of block heaters. Do the specifics matter; not as far as I see it. What matters is we help prevent further instances from occurring. Through word of mouth on TBN, from a dealer service bulletin, from whatever will keep it from occurring. One last item, as I understand it, the mechanic said something about a possible design change in the block heaters, IIRC, which may be the cause of the recurring problem. It is an active situation, and we don't have enough info on the specific cause, yet. Stay connected to TBN for more data as it develops.

As to your seat cover query, don't you have someone locally who can fabricate a Caribou hyde or Griz hyde into a cover?!

No problem, just please take my advice very seriously. Have your dealer remove the heater BEFORE delivery.
Did you request the block heater? If not did the dealer tell you he was installing it?

My Stihls are awesome!

The block heater adaptor is pressed in and should be pressed in with a form-in-place gasket (FIPG) goop (I like Toyota's FIPG). The block heater itself screws in and that should be wrapped with heavy telflon pipe tape or more FIPG. Shouldn't be a problem for any competent tech.

Seat cover wise, I've never tried this, but this one on Amazon looks like it will fit the stock seat (with safety pins to maybe tighten it up a bit). This one looks like an option as well.

It would be much safer to install a heating pad on the oil pan to heat engine. No risk of block heater blowing out, and would better heat entire engine for those frosty mornings.

Sorry to say eric, this is not a result of less competent tech's installing these block heaters, based on the number of recent fails in states all across the country. Maybe read the entire thread(s) before jumping in with fake misleading news, that helps no one.
From the most recent instance in Montana, the OP tells us what the field service tech told him:

"RE:RX7320 problems @7 hrs on the meter
The mechanic showed up and put the block heater back in. It had red locktite applied to the threaded adapter which was then tapped into the frost plug hole with a hammer and socket. He said that this did not used to be a problem but there have been several of these coming out lately. His thought was that the insert that was tapped into the freeze plug hole was being manufactured differently in the last 6 months and does not have as tight of a press fit as it should."

The block heaters blowing out of the block has happened on RX and (POSSIBLY some NX series, though I can't currently find a link to a thread about that model also having failures, at this moment). At least one case of valve train failure and engine destroyed, low hours, but off warranty. Another is currently waiting on an oil analysis to determine the damage at 7 hours on clock, brand new tractor, (cited above). These are not likely improper installs, though final determination is still out at this point.
