Huh??? He wants a mower all in one.

Yes, but it is still good advice. No dog in this fight, but you can't beat smaller tractors for what they do best. The older larger iron can serve as a CHEAP way of getting the power you needed when you rarely do. Depending on on your property of course.

Ok First purchase is in the making. I am looking for debri forks thinks these mit work better then a grapple. Not looking to go as far as this guy In this video, but in the end yiu getter a better idea of what the item looks like.

This will def help move my brush and broken logs on the ground.

It will be able to take care of a lot of brush. The advantage a grapple has is clamping the brush down, crushing it and holding it on while you move. But a debris fork can get the job done.

Nikko, Don't forget that if you have a thumb on your backhoe . . you can use that for a number of grapple functions too.

Axle show me where to buy em? I found aluminum debri forks but our bucket is 48 inches wide, the debri forks i find are for wider buckets. as for the thumb i see for other machine but have not found one yet for gc1700 series.

Tractor Bucket Forks And Skid Steer Bucket and Debris Forks

Aluminum 52 inch is the width..

Nikko,

I believe you can get them direct from massey/dealer. Also I believe there are a couple of aftermarket options.

What size backhoe bucket did you get?

Nikko,

Also Nikko I looked at your link and I saw some full forks for a kubota and something about some clamp ons but it wouldn't let me proceed.

Are you looking for forks to lift pallets and such or short dirt and brusg teeth type to clamp on your bucket or ???

Are you planning on doing quick attach for your bucket or clamp on items?

The answer to some of those questions relates to how heavy the items are you would be lifting.

I added a quick attach to my unit and a set of forks. In that configuration I have the bucket on or the forks (switching tskes about 1 minute after a little practice). That system allow vey heavy weight handling on the forks and also sets me up for a future grapple.

Clamp on products are less expensive but also less strong.

Some choices to check on:
If you go my method then you'd go to mytractortools.com. they also offer a debris bucket with long extensions for brush and rocks etc.

Clamp on choice would be like

everthing attachments

Bucket solutions

Etc. Etc.

Back to the thumb for the backhoe issue:

Massey offers a thumb fr either the 8, 10, or 12 inch buckets for your backhoe.

Seems to me all the others listed above may have some choices or options for thumbs as well . . I just don't remember if they are for mssey or just kubota.
