That synthetic oil must be amazing stuff if it can tame combustion knock. It sure is !!! dont KNOCK IT until you try it

I have tried it, in at least three different vehicles that I can remember (one truck, two motorcycles). I could not find any benefit to using it, at least in my vehicles. However, if I were to buy something like a VW TDI which mandates synthetic oil, you bet I'd use it.

I use syn for the cold weather here in Wisconsin.

Yeah, well, you know what they say about Northern Winters:

Forty below weeds out a lot of the riff-raff.

Call me riff-raff.

It is not so much the oil (as I do use it for warranty) as it is for the quality of oil filters. Do your homework and you will find Donaldson Filters (amsoil) have the best thing running right now.

I'll second the thumbs-up on Donaldson. Donaldson and Fleetguard have customer service that is second-to-none.

I am a dealer for Amsoil. The only reason is because it is the best product money can buy. I use it in everything from my 37 yr old Simplicity to my brand new Kubota. I change my oil once a year if it needs it or not. Amsoil out performs all other oils on the market including Royal purple and Lucas to name a few. It is great stuff. I would though change to the HDD for the diesels, that is the premium diesel oil with 25,000 mi interval. look at my website there is lots of info on it from many studys and comparrisons.

I looked in your 'bio' area and didn't see any link to a homepage or website. Besides, the Rotella guys will say you are lying anyway. You know down deep inside that Amsoil doesn't compare to Rotella. Besides, at a dollar a gallon and with 50k drain intervals, you can't beat Rotella. ;)

They don't, and probobly never will. Amsoil have had 25K since about 1974 or so 32 years and still Rotella dosn't have it.

Shell guys say lying about what? 25K right on the bottle, It don't say that on a jug of Rotella anywhere
