OBWAN 24 is in the Parking Lot

After too much shopping and research we received a BX24 today named OBWAN Kubota. After the delivery training, I spent an hour or so pushing some dirt around and getting the hang of the box scraper (Woods model). Tomorrow we try the backhoe. At last.......

You'll love it. I put over 300 hrs on my BX23 the first year and none of that was mowing grass. I just did get a 54" mmm, and it is a REAL mowing machine.

Thanks Barry, Ron, and Gumbo. I have already thought of jobs to do that I would not have thought of before I had the BX24..... I drove OBWAN down the steepest part of my driveway tonight and then backup without much trouble. The fellow who delivered her was probably more aggressive than I will ever be with the tractor, but he has lots of experience. He pointed to a hill I would not even consider using the tractor on and said, "Oh, yeah, you can use the backhoe and the loader and carve yourself out a platform and them back up there no problem." Well, not this lifetime. Anyway, it is a true joy to have the machine and worth the price no matter what.....

Congrats!!! I'm sure it will serve you very well. Probably worked out good that you held off for a bit to buy so most of the querks with that model are known thus no real surprises. Enjoy!

Loved the pics. I used to live in Northern California (I lived in the Bay area but did alot driving around the state). Placerville is beautiful country. With your new tractor, you'll be keeping busy on such a great property.

Attached are a couple of pics -- the first shows OBWAN coming off the trailer driven by the dealer delivery man. The second shows my spouse with the backhoe she has wanted for awhile. We are looking forward to venturing out beyond the parking lot, but for now I am moving dirt around a pad that will eventually house a shop and parking place for the tractor. In the mean time I am looking for a cover to keep the tractor from getting too dusty and sun bleached -- I know, I know it is just a tractor --- and I found a couple after some searching. After I learn some more, a thumb is on the list. Great fun... thanks for the comments and help along the way in making the decision.
