Odd problem-Navigation slows down

When I log in to TBN, everything loads very fast. But after moving between different TBN forums and threads for a while, suddenly the load speed drops to VERY slow. I can leave TBN to other web sites for a while, come back, and everything is fast again. Or I can close my browser and reopen it and everything is OK again. For a while. Then it slows down again. And this is only when I am in TBN. No other web site I visit does that. Any ideas?

I'll join that club. It'll be going along great and suddenly it's dead.

Sometimes hitting the stop download button and re-clicking the link works for me, sometimes I just give up in frustration.

We can't identify any problems with our server. And you will find that if you look at the page generation times at the bottom of the screen, even when a page "hangs" when loading, the times will be good (under 1 second). This means that as soon as your computer connects to our server, the request is processed quickly.

However, we all have been having similar problems with websites other than TBN. It started a couple weeks ago. So, there's a chance that there are routing issues somewhere online, and those issues affect many hosts.

That said, we have our server admin looking into it, too.

Thanks for the reply Mohammad. It just seems odd that only TBN does this on my PC. Pages will load very fast thru multiple forums, threads, and posts. Then suddenly, bang, it just stops or at least slows down a LOT. Sometimes the page goes blank and appears to be doing nothing. Sometimes I get the TBN banner at the top but nothing below it. Sometimes it will eventually load. Once or twice I let it go long enough to get the error message "site not found". I can go to any other web site I visit (which is a lot) and they are fine no matter how long I stay there. Eventually I come back to TBN and it is fine again, for a while. Then the same problem reappears. May be something about my PC. Don't know.

As an interim solution, if a page doesn't load normally when you click, simply click the link again. It should load normally on the second click.

Thanks, Mohammad. I tried that also. I tried clicking stop and reclicking. I tried going all the way back to the TBN home page. I tried different TBN forums. Same thing. Sometimes I see the progress bar at the bottom creaping across. Sometimes no sign of any thing happening. But if I click on any other web site, that site loads immediately. I come back to TBN later and all is well again. For a while. Really odd. Just started doing this a month or so ago. Maybe whatever it is will go away as suddenly as it came.
