The local tyre mob closed 1/2 an hour ago & the same front tyre has gone flat again.
I keep going through tubes at the rate of every 2 hours work if I'm lucky.Tyre mob told me the inside is VERY rough & this is what is killing my tubes.
On a brighter note they tell me that the tyre size is not common in Australia so will be expensive to replace.
Yayyyy:(

Back when I used to race motorcycles, we solved that issue by using a leather or rubber liner inside the tire to smooth out the bumps. I'd suggest you take one of your old tubes and split it down the middle of the inside and make a liner from it. I think you'll find that your new tube lasts a lot longer this way. Another thing that ate up tube on the bikes was having the tire slip on the rim under load. We solved this by running screws through the edge of the rim into the tire bead.

On bicycles it's common to use a dollar bill as a liner. But the tires are much smaller. I like Rich's idea better.

Well, to be fair, it is Queensland & darn near everything shuts down at noon on a Saturday.

On the upside, the pub's still open!

Hi dave
I second the idea of using an old inner tube. also plenty of talcum powder on the tube when reassembling it.

Your having more luck than another customer he has been through 3 or maybe 4 cracked rims of his Agrison (http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/chinese-tractors/271118-other-agrison-victims.html)
How is yours running after you replaced the clutch??

Yeah they put plenty of powder in last time but I think I'll get them to line it with the old tube this time.
New clutch works great so far.

Hey Wagtail, my fridge is the pub & is always open :drink:
Cheers
