I bet its got plain old motor oil in it,and might even be a good thing to change fluids and filters early,I always do on everything,[might stretch out the second one sometimes],but new things, sometimes have metal shavings and what not, plus they may have been sitting out for a year or two,and have moisture in fluids.

But,if your having the dealer do it,and he does, your covered.

I do not think the BH or FEL have a break in, I was referring to the engine. The service department told me they had not gotten around to look at it yet ("it is in triage sir") they will get to it as soon as possible. They picked it up within an hour from my call, you know they are glad that no injuries were reported. FYI they are approx 35 mins from my place.

It was more a rebutle to someones suggestion that anyone one would be using break in oil anywhere in a small tractor...There is of course break in time with the original engine oil but that is not what they were suggesting.:)

The BH is back! they removed the old setup and welded new hangers for the release pin to sit in. It seems much more secure...to the point i cannot get one of them out without lots of force the other is a bit easier... New bucket cylinder installed and painted and grease fittings repaired
And for info I purchased it a Ahearn Equipment in Spencer Ma. They truly are the tractor guys

Welded new hangars??? Shouldn't they have replaced it with a whole new outfit? After all this is a new machine! Who knows what else could have been damaged that can't be detected yet?

How does the weld look and does the paint match up?

+1Taiser. I'm certainly not an expert but I wouldn't like the idea of having my backhoe mounting points welded back on. Im still wondering how the hoe could have come off and hit the ground. I have the Kubota bh75 and if I sheared both top connectors, ( not very likely ) it would still just pivot down in the lower sub-frame hooks. Maybe Bradco does theirs differently. I also think that I'd try putting it on and off a few times to see if " lots of force " on the one side is just an alignment problem.

What happened is the top pins sit in this holder/bracket/L shape piece of metal and the Bradco comes with them mounted on the outside of the sub-frame. This setup was changed by the dealer because the pins would not clear the R4s. You are right if the pins come out the hoe would pivot to the ground and drag. I was driving the unit and the pins had too much room/tolerance ie not close enough... they never left the tractor they were just not deep enough to hold the BH on. All I can tell u is while operating the tractor on uneven bumpy ground the hoe came off the top and bottom attachments just goes to show u always buckle up use the ROPS and double check everything because it can and does happen!
yes the welds look strong and the paint is good although because they are mounted on the inside u cannot see the paint anyway. I am still working on them regarding the unit and possible unforeseen future issues I really needed to get it back ASAP which I did to finish a job.
Thanks Mav
