I know some dealers with other finance incentives cant lower the price as much if you dont pay cash, the price they must pay is 1-3% if it is financed with the 0% deals.. Is this true for JD dealers too?

Tractors, im sure are just like cars, all deals are cash to the dealer whether you pay them the cash or the bank pays them. They still make the same amount of money.

Well, I bought mine at the end of 2005, to get it into 2005 tax year and got 2 years @ 0%.

3 years @ 0% sounds better to me...

This is not always corret. Its very common to be charged when dealing with any small company who offers financing. It does happen with the majors as well, and I expect with rising rates is going to be more common in the near future.

In this case it is not the bank providing the cash, it is JD. I was told by my dealer that JD's 0% finance offer required the dealer to kick in something. I still got a great deal though.

When I made the deal on mine 18 months ago the dealer & I worked out a price, then I told him I wanted to run it thru JD finance for the 1.9% deal. He made no bones that it cost him "a couple of points to run it thru JD".

If you choose the 36 months, 0% this is what the dealer is charged for Option 3 on financing, see below. What this means is 1% of the amount financed is charged to the dealer against that sale, so on a $20,000 finance, he/she will be hit with a $200 fee. These fees can range from nothing to as much as 2%, perhaps a bit higher, but I'm unaware of them.

Option 3: 0% fixed/36 months, Installment Plan
10% down, 1% dealer participation
personal and commercial use
qualified customers only

You need to go into the dealer and if they are on a quick Internet connection, you will know within 30-minutes or less.
