These type bumpers are super popular here in the states on Jeeps built for off-roading. Better approach angle, D-rings, lights and winch mounts are among the "must haves". A lot of full-size trucks sport these type bumpers when I lived in TX. I heard the term "cattle guard front bumpers" while living there. They look very similar to the Aussie styles.
Yep, and when I mentioned that all types of vehicles sport a Bull Bar I truly mean it. Outside of the 'Big Smoke", the chances of hitting a roo or (worse still) a wombat will do such damage that these bumpers (as you call them) are needed. Cars, utes, trucks, busses, semis... you name it.
