My wife ''Dirty T'' just called the ''Loading Zone'' 304 242 2313 in Bethleham, WV. ON ROAD Diesel pump price $2.39. LBrown don't drive all the way up here with all those empty drums. I know they have a sign there that is posted with their gas prices that also says ON ROAD DIESEL. It's just stating that they sell diesel. The $1.39 is their gas price. Sorry LBrown.

Off road for me in So CA is about .30 cents cheaper than on road.
At least if you subtract the difference. On road is $2.19 and off road is $1.89. I just recently discovered a place to get off road and have only gotten 30 gals two different times, so I don't know if that difference can vary like some of you other guys posted. I thought it would be a constant?

2* I am a Commercial Mower without an Ag. state tax exemption,
3*The other issues that I have had problems with "Off Road Fuel.
4*The fuel usually has a Bacterial Growth, requiring a Killing Additive, Fuel Becomes Slimey.
5*I'll buy mine at a high volume pump at my convenience, Thank You.

2*Everybody here in Ohio is permitted to buy off road.
Only stipulation is they can't use it on the road.
3*4*If one has problems with off road here they will have the same problem with on road here.
Same stuff in either case.
5*We have 3 fuel distributors here and they all deliver from the local Ashland bulk plant.
Can't get any fresher than that.
I get my off road delivered .
Couldn't be any more Convient and trouble free than that.

Off-road diesel was $2.27 per gallon at the Hampshire County, WV / Frederick County, VA state line tonight -- at the cheapest place I know.

I did a whole lot of research on diesel pricing this morning. Think the conclusion is that on road diesel price will run about the price of premium gasoline long range. It is higher than this in the winter due to demand for heating oil. In summer, we'll see if it comes down to near the price of regular. Off road would then be less the taxes posted above for the various states, approximately 50 cents/gallon for many.

I did this research to try to convince myself to buy another diesel car. Current ones are the Benz E320, BMW 335d and VW Jetta. The first two have urea injection; VW doesn't. Ones planned for next year are the Acura TSX and Nissan Maxima, supposedly without urea injection. Think there are 2 or 3 more of the automotive "tanks" (some call them SUVs) that are gonna come out in diesel.

Unfortunately, no small pickups for dieselization in the US, maybe an Indian hybrid diesel model. Asked a Ford saleman about this. He replied, "What's the point?" Sorta shows the Ford mentality.

Ralph it is sorta hard to believe how in Europe most every thing is diesel and the US standard is gasoline and they dont appear to be that interested in developing diesel stuff here...

Growing up we pretty much only had diesel cars from the early 80's onward... it was pretty nice cruising around in high school getting 55 mpg in an Isuzu i-mark - $5 worth of fuel could run you all weekend
