I own diesels, too. I just wanted to highlight that getting them isn't necessarily good for the environment. In retrospect, I was arguing against something you didn't say.

I am a bit jealous of your tractor. How is it performing?

It has stretched the budget, lol, what is the old saying you could have it too if you wanted the payments:)

They forgot some stuff in the pre-inspection, and I wanted another cab controlled hydraulic outlet at the back for a hydraulic top link so it is in the shop. There also has been some hic-ups with the transmission which they are waiting on answers from NH. Hope to have it next week good to go.

Diesel
The new (last three years) clean burning Jetta diesel had won green car of the year a couple of years in a row.

AUTOMOTIVE - GREEN: VW Jetta Diesel WIns Green Award

There was a Government rating for weight of CO2 per hundred kilometers and there was not a hybrid in the ten categories, were there was diesels at the top of two of the categories. They removed diesels from the list a couple of years ago, I guess it wasn't fare. Ya they are not on the list just checked lots of techno hybrids now.

What I know on this topic is that when I ran out of HHO this winter (some idiot forgot to order more), my boiler ran just fine on the 10 gallons of road diesel I dumped in. Now, if they could just make the stuff taste better for when I have to purge the line to the burner...:licking:

:) Crappy. I'm sure it would have tasted better if it were Low sulfur Diesel...

I'm too impatient for that. There's not a lot of head when there's only 10 gallons in the tank, and it takes forever for the line to self-purge.

That said, my wife has a spare vacuum pump, the kind you use to suck air out of plastic bags. If that idiot ever forgets to order oil again, I'm gonna rig that spare pump up to suck out the line.
