The Digger Doctor is picking up my TC-29D today to address some issues before the warranty runs out.

Instrument panel fogs up.
Hydro creep going forward when it's cold.
Starter won't engage when the range lever is between I and II.

Also having the hydro oil changed to the cold weather / multi grade to stop the screaming in the cold.

Here's hoping for a painless Doctor visit ......

The starter will not engage between 1st and 2nd range on my 1630 either. Must play with the safety switch under the fender will to get it to start. One of these days i will check the adjustments to get it to work properly. It always starts between the 2nd and 3rd range.

I can see the safety switch, but can't get to it without removing the left rear tire - which is filled with CaCl. I figure it weighs over 350 lbs. I'm pretty sure that there aren't enough Wheaties on the whole East Coast for me to successfully win that match ....

Spoke with the dealer yesterday - everything is done except the instrument panel - waiting for a new one from NH. It's to come in next week.

Hope so ...

Brad,
If you want to use a real tractor while yours is away, come down the street and borrow my Kubota.

Now they're trying to give the Kubota's away! Boy are they really that difficult to use? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Hi Tom,

Saw your tractor out in your drive just the other day - shouldn't wash it so much - I think you've shrunk it.

Actually, mine was returned yesterday afternoon, but with some issues. A subject for a future post when resolved.

Looks like the tractor is going back for more "Treatment". The new instrument panel fogged up after an hour or so of use and the hydro peddle still sticks when the machine is cold.

The peddle sticking is the problem I'm concerned about - it's like you're stuck in cruise control untill the tractor warms up. Stepping on the brakes does little to slow, I have to step on the hydro peddle in reverse to stop the tractor. Not good...

Anyone else experienced this ?

Nope, haven't experienced either problem on my TC25D.
