Offset of attachments

How far off from center would you guys set attachments? For example box blades or mowers. Thinking about doing this to be able to get the tractor closer to buildings and such or over hang ditches. Do you think it can/does do any damage?

Just watch the angle on the pto shaft.. otherwise.. just keep it out of the tires..
