Tractor
B2910
B2910 finally arrived. R-4 tires, FEL, BH pictured here. Tractor actually came last Wed. (July 23rd.) I think. Been extremely busy lately. Will be setting the new house on the foundation this coming Mon. (August 4th.) It has really been hectic lately. The HST is truly AWESOME!!!! I just love the power steering and the turning radius. A comfortable tractor. Fuel economy is great. Did I mention I just love this machine?

Yesterday (Aug. 1st) some more attachments arrived. L7554 box scraper, FL1271RC tiller, and 60" MMM. Don't know how to resize my pic (too big) so I'll post pics later.

midlifecrisis.

With the backhoe you should have the folding rops. I am certain it is a Kubota requirement.

Has something to do with the head room from the safety standpoint.

Did you somehow talk your dealer into supplying a non folding rops for some reason? That does look like the Kubota hoe that is on my B2910.

Sometimes I think I would rather have the lower standard rops, but the taller folding one was made for a reason I suppose.

Just a heads up in case you didn't know this... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bill is right.

With a backhoe, you need to have a foldable rops. With the stationary rops, you will bang your head every time you sit on the seat of the BH. That is unless you are 3 feet tall, then you won't.

Years ago, I had a 2400 hst that had a ridgid rops. I bought a BH for it later on. I am 6'1" tall and I couldn't sit on the seat without getting a knot on my head so I cut it off (no, I don't mean my head, I mean the rops).

When I traded in the tractor, I kept the BH so I took the tractor to a welding shop and had the rops welded back on by a certified welder.

I'll probably get a lot of flak for my post

Nope, Daryl...no flak for the post!

BUT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TALK ABOUT YOUR CUTTING THAT ROPS OFF!

Just joking... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

But if you get it into your head to cut the cab off that 5030...talk to us first! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bill:

Not to worry, I won't cut the cab off. I did zip tie an American Flag to the radio antenna and I have to bend it over to get it in the garage though. I get quite a few comments on the flag on the Kubota. I just tell people I am "multinational" !!

When we were round wheat straw, we were right by the new Cabella's parking lot in Dundee. I had about 10 people come over and look at the 5030. They all said that they had never seen a Kubota with a bailer on the back. They all thought Kubota's only made little tractors for mowing lawns. They were all surprised when I told them Kubota made Ag. tractors too.

I sent you an e-mail, I hope you get it as I didn't get it back.

Just thought of something else...

The Kubota 3ph hoe also requires a heavy duty top link bracket...be sure to check that you have one on your tractor. Since the rops is not the recommended one, maybe the dealer did not put the HD top link on either.

You sure don't need something to break and not be using the recommended parts for the hookup of the backhoe to the tractor.

Lots of Kubota's out in the fields here in Oregon. I wish I had a picture of the neighbor. His M series kubota was raking and the JD was pulling a MF 900lb square baler. You will just have to imagine it.

A picture of M9000DTL. Put anouther 12 hours on it this week. Up to 36hrs now.
