I now have my own version of the Oozama !!

Had an excavator in to clean out the silt from the bottom of my dam as it was almost empty.

No worries. He did that last Tuesday.

So yesterday I decided to smooth out all the lumps and bumps from where he had dropped all the goo.

Worked fine on top of dam where the goo was only a few inches thick, but then clown boy here tried to drive on the goo pads that he had spread out. They were about 2 feet thick and had a nice crust on top.

See how far I got................

Neil,
Thats a good reason to justify a FEL, you could of pushed yourself back out, without all that digging.

I had to get my mate to pull me out with his 4x4.

I have one but wifey wasn't able to help what with bub and all.

I also forgot to mention that my FAVOURITE boots are also stuck in that mess somewhere but I am not game to go looking for them.

I already cut my feet real bad in the mud after losing the boots and don't want to risk more cuts or lost boots !!

Maybe when it sets I can go digging for them but I think it's time for new boots.............

Neil,

I'd love to see pictures of the dam if it's ever convenient!

What do you use it for? The garden?

Neil, I think muck from the bottom of a pond is the worst kind there is. Even when it drys, its often extremely spongy. I made the mistake of driving into a dry pond. I was lucky and had a loader to use to push myself out, but my front tires sunk down a foot into dry spongy muck. There was no water in it, but I was stuck all the same. Glad you got out, but hey, sorry about your boots./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

It is serious CRAP !!

It has stuck to the tractor better than the paint and is pullign the paint off when it dries !!!

Bottom of dam is now back to rocky type stuff and I could drive on it if I wanted to. After yesterday's little event I don't think I'll try.

Hre is a pic of the dam for buck. Yes I use it for the garden as we have a town water supply.

(I posted some aerial pics of the place if Buck wants to search for them "Aussie Aerial Pics" I think it was called.

Cheers

Little things like that can ruin your whole day, Neil, and sometimes more than one day. I got blood poisoning that way once when I was a kid; no fun at all.
