Mike , You sound like me ! I'm coming to the conclusion that if I just get out the grease gun before I get near the tractor and smear grease on my hands and clothes ,I'll stay cleaner /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
For some reason I just seem to be a grease magnet . I can get it on me just thinking about it ! I'm trying to talk my brother in law out of an old Ringer type washer just for my tractor clothes . But now that I've shown interest in it it's suddenly become an Heirloom /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

John, the grease is magnetic. Yesterday when I was trying to re-attach the cutter, I was being very careful, watching the placement of my legs and thighs as I reached in to attach the PTO shaft. Felt like I was doing a nice clean job til I realized that my right shoulder had been rubbing along the top link enough that I had to re-grease it. The top link that is, not my shoulder it was well greased. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Keep us informed on how you and your machine get along. As someone else said, changing impliments gets easier with time. You'll end up just like the rest of us ... bruised and scraped knuckles and 10 pairs of "work" jeans and one pair of get dressed up and go to town jeans.

Poppa . I look at it this way .... My tractor clothes , while not clean ,are at least water and wind proof /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I figure it'll save me a bit of money on gore tex clothing . . Another 50-100 hours of greasing and serving should get me a reasonably price Box blade /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif John

The advantage of having "tractor clothes" is that if you need to put a little coat of greese on something and you don't have a greese bucket or a gun handy, you can just rub the item on your pants and your good to go.

Nothing I like better than getting that grease all over my clothes and then cutting down a tree and having all those chips sticking to me. Really makes me feel like I've gotten a full days work in. The dirtier the better! Congratulations Poppa, and long live your Kubota! John
