Ohio Bobcat

Was able to get these pictures of a Bobcat on our land in Harrison county Ohio, really was a treat!

Are Bobcat sightings rare in your area?

If one has grain stock there one of the best rodent control.

Well the short answer is that the Bobcats along with Coyotes are over populated here locally and they kill my chickens.

Bobcat season is Nov. 24 thru Mar. 1
Coyote is open season year round

Rabbit population has been in decline for the past decade also.

We had one hit by a car recently...hadn't seen any or tracks in long while.They are not super rare in our area.

I am 50 miles north of the NY border and bobcats are unheard of up here hence why I was asking why someone would kill such a rare and good looking creature.

I have lived in Washington County Ohio since 1940 and have always heard that they are around I've never heard or seen one.
