oil and filters?

What is a good diesel oil for a kubota, air and oil filters, hydraulic oil??I have heard alot of folks use Delo..It seems allright, I use to use it years ago in a Mercedez bobtail truck..Also where is a good place to get all these besides the dealer because we all know about their prices..We do have around here locally, oil distributor's, would that be the best place..Sorry for all the questions but I am just like a newborn baby to this sort of thing!! Oil threads are like politics or religion - many, many opinions, some closely held and hotly contended. Since you asked, I'll give you mine: I use Mobil 1 synthetic in every crankcase I own, Mobil 1 synthetic gear lube where gear lube is called for, and (so far) Kubota UDT for hydraulic fluid. When I find a good synthetic hydro fluid, I will probably use that too. People posting in the Oil/Fuel forum seem to like Shell Rotella.

Delo is good stuff too; I used it years ago on a seismic crew on the North Slope (300 miles north of the Arctic Circle) and never had a problem.

Just did the 50 hour service on my BX 23 last month. I used Mobil 1 5w40 Truck/SUV, Kubota Super UDT, Kubota filters from my dealer. I purchased the Mobil 1 at Walmart. I priced the fluids and filters on Tractor Smart and my dealer was only 5 or 6 bucks higher for the whole package. Oil filter, Hydro filter, 2 fuel filters, air filter, 5 gal super UDT. The dealer also spent about an hour and a half answering questions and providing tips on how to service my tractor. (Emerich Sales and Service Charlton, NY)

In my case the dealer is not high at all on service items. They earned my business and I'm not going to mail order anything for my BX

We just purchased kubota filters and super udt for L3830 50 hour service at fairplain tractor sales in Fairplain WV and they were well below the price listed for on Tractorsmart.com. I was pleasantly surprised.

For oil changes I use Chevron Delo 400 15w-40. For the 50-hour service on my 2200, I used "Chevron All-Temp Synthetic THD" instead of Super UDT. Here's the link to the Chevron's PDF about THD:

This is the first product that the manufacturer says is a direct replacement for Kubota Super UDT. How does it compare in price to the Super UDT? I have paid $65 per 5 gallon pail in the past.

Isn't the Amsoil synthetic tractor/hydraulic fluid also a direct replacement for Super UDT?

They don't say that it is a replacement for Super UDT, just Kubota UTD. These are two different products. Here is the list from their site..........
