Oil change for Yanmar FX32D

Is there a NAPA equivalent for the FX32D oil filter, or do I need to order a special one for the tractor? Also, what kind of oil to use?

You may also use any brand oil, as long as it's diesel rated oil

I've been using Generic WalMart 15-40 Diesel and Fram Filters for the last 7yrs. The Yanmar Dealer I bought the Tractor from gave me the # to use. There should be a book to cross reverence the Wix #.

Does anyone know the amount of oil the engine needs?

Also, since I'm in Hawaii, it never gets cold. Should I get a single viscosity oil, or just go with the 10-40 or 15-40?

I wish there were an operator's manual that showed, for example, where are all the grease fittings, maintenance requirements, etc. I ordered the reprint , but it wasn't useful. I guess there is no detailed manual in English for this tractor, so thank you to everyone on this forum!

Guess around 5 quarts. Fill and watch dip stick to proper level. No oil guru but I don't think you can go wrong with the 15w40 diesel rated oil.

Agreed, stick with 15W40 in Hawaii. Use a good quality oil too and change it and filter yearly.

You can barely find single weight diesel oil.

I would just buy 15w40 rotella or delo or similar and change it once a year or every 18 months and call it good. dont over think it. it will be fine down to colder than you will ever get and to hotter than you will ever get.
