Oil change on Kawasaki engine question

That is the way it came when I bought the Husqvarna with the Kawasaki engine as an option I guess. Anyway heading to the dealer today and will stop in and ask about it. Thanks to everyone who replied. I will get to the bottom of this.

I would suggest if available looking into the block mounted valve, it works fairly well ( as long as you close it tight, ask me how I know

)
You would probably need to loosen the engine from the frame to install it though

Ok came back from the dealer and sure enough it was the way I thought. He told me to use two wrenches one on the end cap and the other on the hose housing and unscrew it and the cap will release the oil that easy and clean without spilling oil all over the place. For those who are curious to what it looks like check Drainzit hose.

Yes, great invention for changing oil no mess. I will know tomorrow. I am cutting the last of my grass for the year then changing the oil and getting it ready for storage.

My 691V Kawasaki engine takes two wrenches, one to hold the hex thread on the hose and one to remove the plug.
Your statement about the hose sounded like the hose end was just crimped on round fitting. Mine is similar to what a hydraulic hose looks like but with female connector. They probably used that same gorilla that installs the oil filters to put on that nut.
