Oil & Fuel Oil change results

Same with my B3030. So clear it made me wonder if it really needed to be done at 50 hrs.

50 hours is overkill! I have done the 1st full hydraulic service on all my kubotas between 150 & 170 hours. 1st motor oil change is a different story, i always do that @ around 20 hours.

The maintanence schedule on my L2800 HST requires a 50 hour change of engine oil/filter, transmission fluid/filter, front end fluid. When I did all of those at 48 hours there was particles on the filter magnet and some shiny flakes/particles in the transmission fluid. The other fluids looked normal. I would not go past the 50 hour mark without changing fluids/filters.

maybe depending on operations, the folks not seeing it have more in the filter than the pan/oil itself. like the folks waiting longer hours to replace fluids - maybe that's more time for it to get cycled through the filter.

and they just might not be seeing it for other reasons, if this is indeed supposed to be normal.

changed mine at 56 hours and felt stupid since the old hydraulic oil looked as clean as the new but felt like kubota knew more about when to change than i or the dealer did.

my dealer had told me he doesnt change the hydraulic oil until 150 hours even though the manual says otherwise.

mine really looked good until I got it into the sunlight. Then it was obvious how much dark metal was there. I would venutre to say is there is anything on the magnet, there is maore particle in the oil thatn anyone thinks. My magnet had no large particles at all but had a silvery sludge layer that had to be full of metal particle.

I have an 2005 L3400 HST. Do they have a magnet in one of the hydraulic filters? Just curious. Thanks, Brian

At my 50 hour, the fluid was mostly clear and perfect.. But the filter had lots of little stuuf on the magnet.

I looked at it as at $100 investment into a $16K machine..
