New Holland now recommends 0w40 full synthetic if operated in northern climates for ls made boomers. Also reburn pcm so throttle won't go above idle until oil warms up.

Are their Boomers dirrect clones of the XR with the same Gen 4 engine?

Yes, LS makes the New Holland Boomers. That's why I suggested you contact them.

Yea I knew they built them, was just not sure that they were a direct clone of the LS, but just with a different brand sticker on them.

Other than the loader, they are the exact same tractor. Not a clone or copy.

I did not know that. Thanks. Amzing that NH is proactive and LS has their head in the sand about the oil and turbo .

My dealer finally heard back from his Regional Rep who talked to his"contact" at LS. He says 10-30w mineral for 50hr change, and then 5-40w syn after that. I'm sorry, but that IMO, is totally incorrect info on the 10-30w. Not to mention what NH released on the exact same engine.

I would agree with you. But I am not a rep with LS or an engineer. I'm sure you'll be fine with 5w-40 full synthetic at the 50hr service. However, this might be a way to void your warranty should anything blow up. But without an oil test, good luck seeing the difference when the oil is drained. Just tell your dealer that's what your going with and if he will still honor warranty work.
