Yes, I had heard napa oil was valvoline.. interestingly enough, carquest oil carries the same bottler 'address as napa oil.. and those corespond to valvoline as well.
My BIL had a COP go out on his Supercrew 4x4 F-150 5.4L Lariat the day before Thanksgiving last year. I was down there so we decided to do a full 100,000 mile service on his truck and just stayed over. His truck a 2006 4x4 and this was the first issue on it. Today it has 120,000 miles and no issues used everyday for construction, ie: worked hard and put away wet.. Anyway, we called Carquest the next morning to get the supplies ordered. Oil and filter, gear lube front and rear, tranny fluid and filter, fuel filter, air filter, plugs, one COP, coolant, and wiper blades. When we went to pick it up at CarQuest a few items were in Napa boxes such as the COP. I guess they are partnered up.
