Oil filter help before the rain starts

Hello Friends,
I just stopped and purchased an engine oil filter for my B2910.

Wix cross ref had the number that is on the old filter listed under "exceptions"
So I purchased the Wix and got ready to change and the old filter is approx 1 inch longer than the "new" Wix.

Does anyone have an answer as to this being acceptable replacement?

Did you get a Wix # 51064 filter. It shows that filter should be 2.94" high and 3.243 diameter. That is also the size of my Kubota filters.

Thanks Ron, yes I have Wix 51064 but now upon paying more attention to Wix info

The 51064 has the additional number 1627132090 which is the number on my old filter. BUT my 2910 is hydrostatic so it looks like something is mixed up.(ME /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

The old filter came from my dealer when I did the first svc. It had started to leak around the back and I thought maybe I had let a small limb stick in the seal.

I have installed the new 51064 and run for 30-40 minutes with no leak.
Since my old 1627132090 was leaking and smaller in dia. than the new, maybe that had something to do with leaking, if in fact the new 51064 which is a little larger dia. is not leaking. YET

OR should I have the Wix 51361 for hydro? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I did not know 2910 came without hydro.

There never was a B2910 without HST. I notice on <font color="orange"> Kubota's </font> site they list 2 engines for the B2910. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif V1505-E-D16 & V1505. Maybe it is a California engine.
