Howdy! Can any of you dealership personnel put your hands on an engine oil pressure switch for a TN 65? My dealership parts department says the're on national back order and the parts locator says there's none in Texas. I can buy it direct or through my dealer, however you want to do it. I have attached a picture because there is a switch that goes somewhere that is listed as an oil pressure switch that has a pigtail. It's not the right one but it was easier to find in the book than the engine switch. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Maybe a switch from a JD or Kubota would work. Or how about an automotive one. A switch is a switch - well sort of. I would think though that as long as the pipe threads are the same, you should be OK with using a substitute.

I would cross it over but it looks to have straight threads with a sealing washer. Most other oil pressure senders or switches have pipe threads.

If I remember correctly NH changed the oil pressure switch and you need the pigtail to hook it up. I thought I had the wrong on about a year ago and found this out the hard way. As far as availability, I doubt we have one.

They had the one with the pigtail but I went out and checked a new TNA and it still had the spade connector. If I could find the ratings for the switches and they were the same I wouldn't have a problem with changing it over. The dealer told me I should have it the 21st. If it doesn't happen I'll rig up a pressure gauge and use my VOM to see what the switch they have is rated at. I just looked in the book and the Engine oil pressure sensor is rated at .68 bar and the only other pressure switch listed is the trailer brake pressure switch at 2.9 bar. My parts book lists the switch with the pigtail as the oil pressure switch. I guess I'll wait and see what they come up with. I'm sure glad I don't depend on this thing to make a living...I'd be bankrupt. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
