Hey guys,
Thought I'd give you an update.....

Took the tractor back last month for the 50hr svc and to make the needed repairs under waranty. The dealer did me right. They sent it back to the distributer he got it from because it needed some "heavy work".

To make a long story short..... They replaced the lift valve, PTO seal, repaired various leaks and replaced the head gasket. He tells me they also replaced the rings, but the pan doesnt appear to have been removed. He may be mistaken since he didnt do the work or maybe there is a trick I'm not aware of. Either way, it seems to run better and quieter than ever. Just got it back this afternoon and rode it arround the yard a bit, but so far I feel like they did everything they could to make it right. Oh, buy the way, he made me a deal on a quick disconnect PTO O/R clutch. Really cool, wish I'd got that orriginaly.

What'd I tell you /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ? You are now the poster boy (sorry, poster guy) for NON vn refurbs. Your experience shows what should happen, and what does happen when you buy from a credible dealer. Your tractor came from a reliable importer who makes every effort to repair any mechanical problems, and BACKS THEM UP. Your dealer buys from a reputable importer, and both took care of you. With no hesitation, run-around, or hassle at all if I undestood you correctly. Contrast that with some of the other stories that have been on this forum.
