Food suppliers use to put formaldehyde in food too. Good thing we learn from our mistakes. :mur:

Pretty sure every beer that I ever drank overseas when I was in the Marines had formaldehyde in it. Wicked hang over, but eventually you get used to it!!!

Here's my suggestion on how to get dust control in your yard without purposefully pouring oil on the ground and upsetting these readers.

Just buy a couple old Harley's and some 2 cycle Detroit Diesel's, and Bob's your uncle!

All those practices from the 1950's sure created a large and detrimental impact for their kids today...It's obvious their actions really put us at a disadvantage today.

Yes, in fact, they did. There has been a phenomenal improvement in surface water quality since the implementation of the Clean Water Act in 1972. Prior to the restrictions on dumping pollution into rivers, streams and lakes, Lake Erie was not really safe to swim in and it was unsafe to eat fish caught in it, and the Cuyohoga River actually caught fire (on multiple occasions).

^^agree....we have made great strides in cleaning our waters up. I hope we don't go backwards now.

This has turned into a lively discussion. I'm surprised we haven't turned it into a mineral vs synthetic debate. Hmm, which would be worse to spray into the environment?
Has anyone noticed the original poster has been a member for 10 years and this is their first post?
