Oil use

   / Oil use #11
my 2210 does not leak but I do burn it. Use a few ounces every hour. Actually see it out the tail pipe if I let it idle low and then crank it up. Runs good but probaly needs rings or a valve job. I just keep puting oil in it for now, pretend its like a 2cycle motor in oil usage. have fun. erick

The reason I asked in the first place is that mine had a few drops of oil on the bottom of the bellhouseing. I havn't had it long enough to find out if the real seal is leaking or not, as I don't have enough hours on it yet to know. And with the rain we have been having I don't know when I will know. I was useing it trying to move some gravel up a, hill, my road to the house, when I saw it. As it was mostly running up a fair grade, that might have caused it, I'll find out in time, I guess. I have run it, doing some brush hoging since for a couple of hours or so, and didn't see anymore.

I have changed the oil in my 2010 twice since I bought it - both times at 40 hours of use and have never had to add any between changing. It had 1120 hours when I bought it and now had just over 1200. No leaks and no using.
