That is kind of why I asked, as it almost seems like it is a multi-level marketing scheme for sales where you can become a dealer for Amsoil and then get folks under you to sell as well. Don't quite understand it but did not know the product either.

I don't doubt it is good, but yeah.. expensive.
I bought a used 99 F-450 with 7.3 PSD.. it had 119K on it and had run amsoil it's entire life according tot he service records i received.
I changed it over to valvoline premium blue HD 5w40 syn since I have owned it. Both good oils.. one is just a bit more affordable and available easier locally, to me.

I use T6 in all my motors now. I like the cold weather starts and protection.

Amsoil has some good and mediocre products just like everyone else. I use a couple of their niche products, but no oil. Pricing is criminal and when one tacks on shipping if they don't live near a DC, that just adds insult to injury. It is indeed a cult like following. I can get very high quality oils and greases from a company that has been making lube products in N. America longer than anyone else (over 175 years), is one of the top 500 most technological advanced companies in America, developed the lubes for the Apache Attack Helicopter and M1 Abrams tank, makes some specialty greases that even Shell oil could not replicate so Shell buys it from them, pricing that competes favorably with anything on the shelf, and delivered FREE to my home. Schaeffer oil. For everything from my semi truck on down to my portable generator and lawn mower.

Amsoil has some product for obscure and mainline applications . If you are looking for a synthetic for a two stroke Detroit Diesel, motorcycle, snowmobile , chainsaw, outboard motor . There is a blend specific to each.
