Yes in the description X means "by" but when talking about section width X in a BX belt means its cogged and a B belt is smooth. You can download the Gates catalog on their web site to see for yourself.

Thanks you very much for the quick replies. Im going to be at the part wharhouse outa town tommorow and wanted to pick a set up. Local CC dealer is "out to lunch" and knows nothing but the OE number and no specs. Anyway, thanks again for the info. Ed B
