Here I go again....... The belt on my belly mower on my e Max 25 came apart. Called the Dealer, Monroe Tractor to order a replacement only to be told they no longer carry the Mahindra line. Wish they had sent something out telling us that. Anybdy else in NY or other areas that bought their tractors there and found out like I didi?
Anyway, rant over. Looking for a replacement belt. I did order one from a supplier on Norwich NY but I think we all know how long that will take. Plus the cost is $130. Has anyone had to replace theirs and if so how didi you find one that fits?

Measure the length of your belt then go to Vbeltsupply.com. I just bought 2 new ones for my lawnmower. 3/4x1/2x185". Were $19 each plus shipping. They are $123 each from the dealer. Ordered them Wed evening and got them early Fri morning. You might want to call them to find out the exact size to order.

Betcha money you'll find one on Amazon. I have a couple of Ferris mowers, and the 13' deck belt one is $110. You can't just use any belt. Deck belts, or blade belts, are much stronger and less flexible than an ordinary belt.

Try vbeltsupply.com. Have found numerous replacement belts for my equipment. They have a great system of cross reference or if you can measure the belt, they can match, either regular or Kevlar.

What I found at the shop if it is of any help, run these belly mowers at full speed all the time.
There was a guy that came in for a new belt twice in one month on a new tractor.
That simply did not seem right that new belts would break. I went to his house and asked him to run the machine after I had put on the third belt.
He would mow certain areas at part throttle which creates tremendous stress on the belt. I asked him why he eased up on the throttle and he said to "save gas".
I told him after his warranty is over, he was gonna spend a lot more replacing belts than he would spend for gas.
He also had the habit of slowing his tractor down when he was going from place to place to mow WHILE THE BELT WAS STILL ENGAGED with the deck raised.
Not saying this is anyone's cause here for a broken belt but just announcing what I found was a potential problem.

I always run at the RPM designated on the tach for PTO speed

OK. So I carefully read each and every post. I must be slow today - exactly what makes you "feel like Dolly Parton". Is it a matter unfit for discussion here???

You know - I'll just bet if you looked real hard - you could have a custom belt made for your mower also.

lol....I've posted about issues with my tractor before. Normally its something I did that created the problem. I guess I just feel like a "rookie" at times when I am always asking for advice. This is my "go to" page when I have questions

Hardly a day goes by that I don't read a reply and have my curiosity get the better of me to know where the person who replied lives. It's been a long tie since I've seen a wall of belts and when I read your message I was curious to know if you lived in a farm state. Thanks for including your location. I believe Indiana to be a farm state.

When I was a kid, our property bordered a farm. Every summer I would help them hay a field. Its where I learned how to drive a stick. I was probably like 12 or 13. The farm is still there but. sadly like many other areas of the Country, the number of farms dwindle every year. This part of NY Is fairly rural where the farms usually raise cattle and some horses. The growing season is fairly short.

Lately I have been buying the Kevlar (Aramid) version of the B131 for my Max 25 belly mower. Best price I have found is here:

These lasts much longer and at $21.28 a piece its a no-brainer. I've bought several, but I don't break belts like I used to.
