My wife says I am crazy but.
This weekend I had to put up gutters at my mothers house. not wanting to move the ladder 8 billion times I climb up on the canopy of my BX with my tools and have my 12 year old daughter move it forward as I work. The bigest problem I had was if it took me a little while with something she would go in the house leaving me tell someone that was no longer there I was ready to move.

I was using an old hand drill and my daughter looks up and tells me the battries in it are old....LOL

I'll take an unattended flat surface over an unattended ladder any day if I am on it.

Did she set the brakes? An keep the implements down?

She did good (for a blonde 12 year old girl) just had to keep her for "getting out of the heat" and a little day dreaming.
she did get me good. I was using a bit and brace trype hand drill for a screw driver.
She looked at me and said "dad I think the battries in that drill are old" and jusr smilled at me
