Christmas in February. Dealer called and my shiny new Kubota L3240 with HST, FEL and Woods HB 72" Box Blade is ready for pickup On my way to play..ummm or ahhh I mean..examine the equipment and to ensure it will meet the demands of planting and maintaining the new orchard. Thanks again to everyone for what I found to be outstanding suggestions and inputs.

OK OK I can take a hint...I will get some pictures. Just got back from the dealer and the initial orientation of the tractor..More levers and switches then you can shake a stick at! I do like the quick release bucket (AKA Bobcat Connection) which releases the bucket by lifting two levers and then on to the next piece of equipment. Dog Gone it..it's shiny and new and ready to be broke.....or umm I mean broke-in....yeah that's the ticket!

Tractor is here Played with it and really like it. On the plus side, plenty of power, easy to operate, it fits in the pole barn. On the negative side, and this has been mentioned, it will operate with the parking brake on It is hard to see the instrument panel in the sun on a snow covered field. I will try and get some pictures taken tomorrow as SWMBO will want to see and drive it tomorrow and I have to clean and organize the pole barn so it is happy there until the new garage is built.

The parking brake will only be a drag (get the pun?) if you put it on. Just drop the bucket and box blade. It won't roll away. Leave the HST in gear too.

If you do get off, turn it off. I would imagine it's a rather uncomfortable conversation with the CFO explaining how your new toy just ran you over and broke both your legs...


And still he teases us with a lack of photographic evidence!

The tractor is a working machine not a new car! We don't want to see shine we want dirt, mud, dings, scratches, and some dung on the tires if you have livestock.
