The NAPA 1383 filter Same as Wix 51383 Wix makes filters for NAPA, my cost is $ 13.34 each and not a stock item, and must be ordered into the store? I thought you were looking for a $ 4.00 filter ? We had the correct OEM filter for the same cost $ 14.00 all the time in stock ? The good news is you found a crossover number for that JX0707 filter

Hi Tommy I was looking for an american or atleast a in town findable filter, I pay 16.00 for the oil filter that goes on my cummins thats in my truck so 12.00 isnt bad (thats what I have to pay for the wix filter) and if I bought any of the org chinese filters it would cost me over 20.00 with shipping and I dont know why but when I think of what that org filter must be made like I can only invision a filter can filled with tissue paper and some cardboard hahah, also I do like the wix line of filters, I couldnt get it at my napa in the napa number that drops the first number only the wix filter from them I will have to inform them that they can get it in the napa number and if they really can then i bet that will drop the price down to around 8 or 9.00, one thing I cant fig out is why do the chinese filters cost so much, at the price they sell there tractors I would think there filters would sell for around 25 cents each

Well it's not only the cost of the product, it's a 26 day ship ride here, with Port fees, bond fees, inland trucking fees, ect. If you guys do not think a lot of the products you are buying today do not come from China you need to open your eyes, We name brand fuel injection pumps, bearings, injectors, lights, filters , ect that are all being made for the big boys in CHina.

im not one of the people that think america makes anything anymore **** your lucky if the burger you buy at burger king is made here anymore hahah, but when you buy somthing with a american brand on it most of the time it will have atleast 50% of the quality it had 20yrs ago or they wont sell it, and the chinese are punping out loads of crap some good and some not so good, but as filters go I know there has to be a wicked high mark up on them even after shipping and port charges, another thing I allways hear is the green tractor guys allways downing overseas tractors and it allways makes me laugh because they have been being made overseas for almost 30yrs now by yanmar and I also herd that they opened up a plant in china a yr ago, its all about profit, its a sad fact but almost everything is made some were elese now, even the hamburger your gonna eat at mc donalds is made in south america frozen and shipped here

Hi Nan im pretty sure they will if you go to the wix filter cross ref web page when you type in the wix number or the baldwin number it says its a cross filter for jinma foton dangfong ect, they also give you the dim of the filter on the web site as 24mm by 2 but ill give u a call after i spin it onto the tractor and it works

Good attitude. It only makes sense to sell replacement parts that are better than OEM, especially if you can stock and sell them cheaper.

The oil filter I use on my 385 is Napa 1516, however I was in a parts store the other day and bought a cross over.

Greetings Keno, Bought some Hydraulic hoses from you a while back, It seemed a good company to deal with. First time I've seen a rep on the forum.

ok the moment of truth, the napa gold 551383 or wix 51383 fit perfect, really better then the stock filter, its about the same dia doesnt hang down past the frame and is about the same size as a fram ph16, and they are 13.00 at napa for there better napa gold one, i think but im not sure you can get it in the reg napa and the number would be 1383 but i did not try to get that one

I have a Dong Feng 425A (aka Taskmaster) with Y385 engine. I've been looking through these forums on oil filter specs, and so far, none of them is working for me. I think the thread is M24-2 but I have not verified this. It is bigger than M22. It's the short JX0707 filter, but even some of those specs in the forums do not match mine (too long, too wide).

I would not mind changing the nipple. Anyone out there done this with an odd-ball thread like mine? If I take a metric like that to a machine shop, the price just doubled or tripled.

Thoughts? Thx in advance.
