Thanks for getting back to me.

I did have the orange filler ring but didn't clean things well enough and the orange ring got pinched and ruined. Thus the Bondo trick would be what I need.

What is your technique for applying the bondo as there is not a lot of room. How is Bondo removed.

Just looking for a bit more detail before I try this. Seems like it should work better than the orange gland removal tool from the seal kit that I ruined.

I would imagine that you would use something like a butter knife to spread the Bondo in, then a pick to clean it out afterwards.
