Okay need a little info and help clearing a small area.

I have a small area about 1/2 acre that is mainly small shrubs, small trees and vines. I want to clear it out (leaving the larger trees) and level it out. I want to use the area as a little camp site since it will be right next to our pond.

I have a Ford 1900 tractor with FEL and a 5' Bush Hog




What would you suggest i use to clear this out with? Should I rent something to do it? Or would the tractor do the job and if so what attachments or anything would i need?

I might be bias but I love my ratchet rake cause it is so easy to take off and on and gets the job done. I got my 72" from the TBN store and was here at the house in just a few days.

Ratchet rake is cool, but at the end of the day if money is tight, just drive in with your bucket up and lower it, smashing down all the vines, or just drive into the area with the bucket a few inches off the ground.

Sounds like the ratchet rake would be a good investment, seeing as i will have other areas to clear out later down the road. I think it would make a great Christmas present
