Okay, Now what is going on at ebay?

Coworker had to fight with eBay over a trolling motor he purchased. Seller had it listed at an insanely low and wrong price for the unit. When they realized there mistake. They backed out and refunded the money. EBay went to bat for him, and he got the trolling motor for the original listed price.

I just ordered a weight distribution hitch from them for my camper. Ordered it Monday with it being a holiday. Got the notice the next afternoon with shipping confirmation and tracking info. Supposed to be delivered Friday.

Interesting as I also own a Serento (and like it) but have noticed that there is very very little on line after market products for it even though it is a very popular vehicle.
I always get "OEM only available". Needed a rear brake disc/drum and was sticker shocked at the cost.
That applies even on 'offshore' supplier sites where the brand is much more popular.

Now what I have discovered is that Kia and Hundai have so many product names for same product for different countries that it is mind boggling and problem is that we, the consumer, don't have the cross reference info to shop wisely unlike Ford/GM where we are more knowledgeable.
Mind U in my area where Kia/Hundai are very popular even the re cycle yards can cross reference many parts/components.

You know of course that Kia/Hundai is about the same as Chevy/Pontiac when it comes to mechanical components.

I haven't run into that yet but we haven't had too many repairs. Have gone to Kia for most of them. They were great under warranty but the car has over 100k on the clock now.

I let them do the rear brakes but won't do that again. they charged $300 and chattered the rotors so had to have them turn them again. I haven't looked but I imagine I could have purchased new rotors and pads for less.

We had the traction control light come on and found both rear hub sensors were bad. Kia wanted $1000+ to replace them. I got both rear hubs from Rock Auto for $128 shipped. The whole job took me less than and hour. Kia's quote was $600 for labor. Needless to say, they won't be getting much more of my business.

The only reason I'm replacing the axle is the boot is torn and the Cardone axle is only $79 brand new. For $79 there is no reason to get all greasy replacing the boot. The axle is on the way so I kept ordering till I found a seller that had one.

Cross listings, they will list on their site, on amazon, on ebay all to get to the top of the google search engine. When they listed the item they might have had it but if it sells from their main site, the other sites they have listed to are not updated.
