Live on a 10 acre plot in Michigan. Owned a few 8 & 9N tractors, but now own a JD 955 compact and love it.
Made a big mistake a few years back and bought a L120 from HD. Like others who made this mistake, when the hydrostatic drive (tranny) went out, sold it as is for a few hundred bucks.
Looking for a new mower. I do most of the mowing with the 955 and a 6' finish mower. But need something for the front yard and trimming. It would need to mow about 2 acres.
Was interested in the JD X320 but just heard they have transmission issues also. True?
Would love some imput on a reliable mower in the $4000 range. Can't use a zero turn because of slopes and ditches.
