Yeah, we have an old Regulator school house clock. We've had it probably 50 years, and it was an antique when we got it. I don't know how old it is really.

The Regulators were popular in train depots. Every whistle stop in the country had one.

I think around the world also schools had them regardless of size of school.
Regardless of who made them they all looked the same.

I had to fix it once, wife pulled a weight down instead of the other end of the chain. Occasionally it doesnt play the song.

My grandfathers only phone, was direct connected to his parents down in the hollow below him. Sears and Roebucks. He never had a public phone, and he lived till 1980s. Course he never had indoor plumbing either.

Buckeye farmer I have pretty much the same looking radio but mine is about 4' tall sit's next to my bed and I use it as a night stand.

Cool, does it still work ? My Dad collects and repairs old tube radios, I get to do cabinet repairs on them.

I was amazed to find that there are still some shops that sell old valves still and that some are still made, more recently I saw a russian clock for sale that used nixie tubes if anyone remembers them.

Sure do remember Nixie tubes, got a calculator with them !
