As George Bernard Shaw said, "we are two peoples, separated by a common language."
I wonder what they call their CUT parts?
In automobiles we have big end/differential, bonnet/hood, boot/trunk, lorry/truck. And many more. . .

Here's another bon mot -- "The Americans are identical to the British in all respects except, of course, language." Oscar Wilde

A pretty woman walks by, and you realize you have flannel shirts older than she is.

My wife recently reminded me that I still wear a sweater I had in high school. Being that I graduated in 1963, I might be wearing something older than the sweet young thing's mother!

I have a permanent rank of Codger, but sometimes receive a battlefield promotion to Old Fart.

The sweater is still in good shape, by the way, although I seldom wear it to formal occasions anymore.

I don't own a sweater... nor a suit of any kind. I had to buy one for the last funeral I attended and am a bit too wide to fit it now. I'm not even sure it's still in there. I might have donated it.

Grandad4 - I wish I could get into anything from high school - I'm refering to clothing.:laughing:

Now to throw confusion into this thread, shouldn't we magnify the word "cougar" ? :D Seems appropriate considering.
