Many farmers have a collection of old equipment out back, but not like this.

My 4 year old son would be in heaven around that place with all those steam engines. Though I'd go crazy with him asking me to make them work.

Even thou scrap iron is down to 180 a ton, he has a gold mine out there.

Interesting old train collection. I might have to check it out the next time I'm in Klamath Falls. Perhaps someday, some of those engines will start blowing steam again, or at least get moved to a nice display setting.

Anyway, the Village Green, in Cottage Grove Oregon used to have a steam engine that one could take for about a 20 mile loop from Cottage Grove Oregon around through Dorena Oregon.

For a while they were doing the loop with an old Diesel locomotive, and the steam engine once a week. Now, I'm not sure what their status is. I think they've shut down the main loop.

He's scrapping 'em. It's an interesting place. I stuck to the road and did not enter the posted property, but here's a glimpse:

Ignore the tender in the background. The foregound is what's left of a 2-6-6-2 cab forward. Man, back in the day...

The real gem of the "collection"--and a real heartbreaker if you love this stuff--is this steam powered rail crane, along with a small chunk of work train:
