What we have so far
1. Zydeco band
2. Accordian player
3. Two horseshoe pits
4. 24x24 deck for dancing
5. Outdoor kitchen
6. Two more decks for lounging
7. Two hammocks
8. Pond fishing
9. Two or three bikes for exploring
10.Tree counting contest with local scout troop providing offical number
11.Tree chopping, log rolling and splitting contest. Winner takes wood or auctions with proceed going to scouts.
12.Lawn games including two above
13.BAR BOB Ranch tee shirts as prizes for such as most miles traveled, best country outfit, best dancers, best dish, best desert (will be byo chairs, covered dish or desert and "special drinks")
14. Bed & breakfast for longest trip, two couples.
15.DIY hand crank icecream
16.Two BBQ pits
17.Fire pit-not built yet but using ideas from TBN

The log splitting, tree rolling idea scares me. Too easy for somebody to get hurt, especially if it's a competion. Any any injury from an axe is gonna be an expensive injury!!!

In addition to tree counting, you might have a wild flower picking contest where you have pictures of wild flowers you know are on your place and the kids have to find and identify them. Give a prize for the most found and a special prize for the most found that are not on your list. April is a great time for wild flowers almost anywhere in the state.
Have plenty of insect repellent for mosquitos and chiggers. It will be a good idea to have a couple of very good first aid kits available.
Are there snakes in the area? In April, they are just coming out from hibernation. They can be a problem in the woods and around water.
I think I would want no less than 8 porta-potties: 5 for women and 3 for men or mixed use. You could do with less, but you'll have some lines.
If you can find small farm animals like goats or young calves to pet (maybe even chickens or some other fowl), they would sure be popular with kids and adults. I'm always amazed how our donkey and goats are so popular with kids.
Do you have a grassy hillside? Some old cardboard boxes will make hours of sliding fun down the hillsides.
Maybe a B-B gun shooting gallery using tin cans would be fun if it is supervised well and safety is enforced.
