Old iron

/ Old iron #11
I see allot of these older type implements turn up at the local salvage yard, (sold as scrap iron ) some very heavy weight pc's, I have inquired on purchasing a couple of them although cents pr lb. that can really add up quickly:cool: what I notice on the older implements is how they are riveted together by using the old Hot rivets, to me shows a sign of skill and craftsmanship, I've not seen a 1 of these type rivets ever came apart, Loosen maybe but never completely off,

My Dad gave me his father in law's old Dearborn plow and disc.
I didn't have room on my trailer for the cultivator or I would have it too.

They had been setting in the same spot for a long time! The disc is going back to work, the plow is likely going to be an ornament by my gate. I had never seen a plow like this one before and I hope to find out how old they are.

Thanks for posting that bud, I have and use the same plow in the ad. I was wondering how old it was. Yours looks even older.
